Colter Simmonds

OnDaRise Founder

Colter is an award-winning coach, mentor, and community leader. He is the founder and CEO of OnDaRise Sports and Entertainment, a one-of-a-kind camp and sport development haven for youth in the Halifax Regional Municipality.  


Colter has held many positions throughout his career beginning with Youth Leader, Camp Coordinator  and most recently Child, Youth and Sport Program Coordinator at the Zatzman Sportsplex. He had the opportunity to direct camps for NBA athletes Khem Birch and Dillon Brooks. He’s also been camp director for the WNBA’s Tammy Sutton-Brown.


Widely respected as a father figure among youth, he is usually met with big smiles, hugs and fist bumps wherever he goes-especially at schools and community centres. He studied Recreation Leadership at the Nova Scotia Community College where he graduated in 2011 at age 31. He is proudly from North Preston and grew up in the inner city of Toronto. He currently resides in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
